I began the Pomegranate Seed to learn from other peoples stories, pasts, and cultures so I can provide my readers a fresh outlook on governance, economics, and technology innovation for my motherland, Armenia.
My original plans of being cynically optimistic were going well!
The first issue, Want to make a change in Armenia?, reached over 700 readers.
But by my second issue, Armenian communities attacked around the world. Who is behind it?, it became obvious that the Pomegranate Seed could not remain optimistic after all, and for this I do apologize.
Speaking about Armenia’s future, economic growth, and her possibilities was put on hold. The “Azeriturkish” invasion, the loss of 5,000+ Armenians, and the destruction of our civil society in wake of the occupation- all I could think about was how “history is repeating itself and there is nothing we can do about it”.
When someone murders, pillages, rapes, and destroys any ethnicity, gender, sex, or religion, it is- Genocide. After all, 2020 was a year of utter chaos.
One thing I learned in 2020, was to be cynically optimistic about money and wealth creation.
So I wrote all the tips & advice I’ve received in 2020 from my parents, colleagues, and friends as the first issue in 2021. The first tip was the most important.
Changing the world without any money is a fool’s errand. Do you know who really influences the world we live in? The folks with money. Make money first, change the world later. Follow the path that allows you to grow.
So I took this advice to heart and I have decided to make this my final issue of the Pomegranate Seed.
It’s hard for me to step away from all the future facing ideas, theories, and case studies that COULD potentially help Armenia and the world!
But how COULD you potentially make the world better, without capital?
